These are exciting times for Web Active Directory product updates.  The last 3-4 months have seen many changes to our product platform as here at Web Active Directory we have taken on a special commitment to being responsive to our customers’ requests for new functionality.  If you have product suggestions or needs feel free to contact us and we’ll do our best to accomodate.  We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next 4 months!  We’re doing our best to care about the needs of our customers.

Web Active Directory Product Updates

Here is what we’ve done over the time period over the last 3-4 months:

PeopleUpdate and PeopleSearch:

v4.1:  Certified to run on Windows Server 2012, 2012R2, and ready for Windows Server 2016.  Moved to .NET 4.5.1

v4.2:  New update notification functionality.  You can have people optionally be notified via email when attributes are updated using PeopleUpdate, user account status has been changed, and/or when users or objects have been deleted

v4.3:  Support in PeopleSearch and PeopleUpdate for optionally displaying images from Active Directory’s jpegPhoto and thumbnailPhoto attributes.  In PeopleUpdate you can delegate these fields to be edited allowing users to upload photos to one or both of them.

PeopleProvision:

V2.0:  Certified to run on Windows Server 2012, 2012R2, and ready for Windows Server 2016.  Moved to .NET 4.5.1.  New notification functionality added so that administrators can be optionally notified when a user is provisioned.  New configuration possibility to optionally include the office phone number as part of the office address instead of part of the provisioning form

V2.1:  Added configurable options (by administrators) to control whether the user is initially enabled, whether they can change their password, whether they must change their password upon net login, and whether their password expires or not

PeoplePassword:

v4.0:  Certified to run on Windows Server 2012, 2012R2, and ready for Windows Server 2016.  Moved to .NET 4.5.1

v4.1:  Updated to work with PeopleEnroll v4.1

v4.2:  New REST service APIs were added to perform various functions

PeopleEnroll:

v4.0:  Certified to run on Windows Server 2012, 2012R2, and ready for Windows Server 2016.  Moved to .NET 4.5.1

v4.1:  Support for multiple simultaneous configuration files was added.  Using multiple profiles is now possible in the scheduler

v4.2:  Updated to work with PeoplePassword v4.2

IISADMPWD Replacement Tool:

v2.0:  Certified to run on Windows Server 2012, 2012R2, and ready for Windows Server 2016.  Moved to .NET 4.5.1

v2.1:  Bug fixes

v2.2:  Support for editing application text and displaying that text in different languages according to the browser locale

v2.3:  Bug fixes for functionality added in v2.2 and more

PeopleMinder:

v2.0:  Certified to run on Windows Server 2012, 2012R2, and ready for Windows Server 2016.  Moved to .NET 4.5.1

v2.1:  Added SAMAccountName as a parameter that can be tokenized in email notifications
